My love for music is a direct inheritance from my mother, who instilled this passion in me since I was a child. I grew up in a home of artisans, where I learned from my parents the value of handmade work, crafted with patience and dedication. This vision of art as a craft was nurtured by the musical influence of my father, who was a drummer, and my grandfather, who sang in bolero trios. It was in this environment, rich in creativity and rhythm, that my calling took root and my training began with private tutors.
Taking that family heritage to the next level, my professional path was forged with my hands on the console. I founded El Estudio de Joe in 2003; it initially served as a rehearsal space, and there I immersed myself in the art of production and sound engineering. This pursuit of technical excellence led me to Argentina, where I undertook specialized studies in Sound Engineering at CETEAR (Rosario) and trained in Audio Post-Production and Mastering at Tecson (Buenos Aires). My practical learning was shaped in legendary studios, including Fito Páez's Circo Beat Studio, Alejandro Lerner's El Pie, Print Monkey, and Taiken Studio, where I absorbed knowledge from the heart of the music scene.
With decades of practical experience, I decided to unify my career with academic rigor, earning the title of Master in Music with an emphasis in composition and arrangements from the National Open and Distance University (UNAD), from which I graduated with an Honors Degree and an Award-Winning Thesis. I later completed my training with a Master's in Musical Composition with New Technologies from the University of La Rioja (UNIR). Today, my work is the synthesis of this entire journey: the inherited passion, the artisan's technique, and the academic's vision come together in my role as a composer, producer, and educator.
This academic foundation allows me to approach every project—whether it's an orchestral composition, a rock production, or an experimental piece—with deep conceptual and creative rigor.
